RACIAL JUSTICE AND DIVERSITY ORGANIZATIONS IN NORTHERN MICHIGAN

There are many groups, in addition to MARJDI, working to promote racial justice, diversity and inclusion in northwest Michigan.  Below are just a few of the regional organizations you may want to become involved with.   If we are missing your organization, please let us know by filling out the contact form on our contact page!

Little River Band of Ottawa Indians

The local tribal government in Manistee County.  

Engaging for Equity

A group operating in Manistee and Mason counties providing programming that fosters engagement, learning, and discussion to further racial equity. 

PFLAG Manistee

Manistee's chapter of the National PFLAG organization. They work to support the LGBTQ2IA+ community in the area.

A platform for healing, social, and racial justice for all Native American people.

A Grand Haven based non-profit, grassroots movement working to create a stigma-free community.

A group engaging creative practice to build resilient social- ecological systems that support clean water, racial equity, and youth empowerment 

Northern Michigan E3

A Traverse City Based non-profit that aims to make Northern Michigan a region that celebrates and welcomes diversity and equity for all residents and visitors. Sponsored by Title Track.
