Diversity Resolution
MARJDI is approaching local units of government and civic organizations to ask that they enact a “Racial Justice, Inclusion and Diversity” Resolution, showing the community that we are open and welcoming to all people and that we will not tolerate discrimination. This resolution is intended not only to indicate acceptance of all people, but to be proactive in opposing harassment and intimidation. A diverse and welcoming community will invigorate our population and our local economy as individuals with innovative ideas and skills and diverse backgrounds choose to visit, invest, open businesses and make their homes in the Manistee area.
The resolution has been adopted by the Manistee City Council, and several Manistee County townships and civic and business organizations.
